Exceptional Care provided with support from Exceptional Volunteers!
If you have a heart for service and a desire to provide exceptional care right here in your community please consider joining our Volunteer Team! Volunteers play a vital role in the services we provide throughout Oneida Health. In addition to providing services that bring comfort to our patients and their families, many volunteers provide specialized, technical expertise on important projects. Whether they’re working directly with patients, or working behind the scenes, our volunteers enjoy the opportunities to meet new people, to keep active while providing important services, and to experience the personal satisfaction that comes from helping others.
How Do I Become a Volunteer?
Thank you for considering volunteering your time and talent with Oneida Health. To prepare volunteers for an acute care and extended care setting and to protect the patients and community we serve, the on-boarding process for new volunteers is extensive! Since you will potentially work with patients, their families, and visitors, we are obligated to provide a comprehensive health review and criminal background screening to ensure – to the best of our ability – your and the community’s safety. Finally, the New York State Department of Health requires that all new volunteers be evaluated by a physical exam prior to placement.
